Summer 2010 "Sum-Up"

I don't know about you... but our summer flew by! Here are a few things we did:)

We had a lot of "lazy" days....

made some fun projects...
got wisdom teeth out...

adopted a new baby, I mean puppy....

her name is Lucy...

isn't she adorable!

Rach went to a really hard soccer camp and won an award!

Preston went to a really hard wrestling camp, did awesome, hurt his knee, got a staff infection and had to come home early:( That sucked!

(This is all the boys before Preston got hurt!)

Jeff and Heather went on their annual river trip to Gruene Texas with some friends...

We had tons of fun...

and stayed in a gorgeous B&B.

Jeff's whole side of the family met in Destin, Fl. and had an awesome time!

The cousins had fun together... Rach got a cool hair wrap...

The kids got to hold some exotic birds..

play in the ocean...

and just spend time with family!

Rachel is a pro Hula- Hooper!

The rest of us, not so much!

We are all sad summer is over:( ....

But are looking forward to a great year at school!

Welcome Spring?

It is the first day of spring in Texas, and this is what we wake up to this morning! 5 Inches of snow!!! What????

I do not live in the north for a reason!

Please, please, please warm up soon!

Spring Break 2010

For spring break this year, we went to Santa Fe, NM
for a ski trip! Here are some of the highlights...


As we came into town it had just started snowing. We got about 6 inches through the night!

It was a 15 mile drive straight up to the ski resort and it was beautiful!

That is until we got stuck! They closed the roads for hours because of all the ice. We waited for about 2 hours- good thing there was lots of snow to play in!

They finally opened the roads and we got some good skiing in!

The ski lift was fun!

Preston picked snowboarding up right away and had a blast

We spent two days skiing and it was a blast! It seems like everyone else had the same great idea for spring break. It was crowded!

On the the last day in NM, we decided to go sledding- real sledding!

It was a hike up the hills but worth it!

What a fun day!

On the way home, we stopped at Cadillac Ranch.

It's a bunch of Cadillacs buried half way in the ground, then spray painted to oblivion!

Kind of random, but Preston really wanted to check it out. He was not disappointed. Rachel was however, and cried the whole time. (It was REALLY windy and cold!)

All in all it was a pretty fun spring break! We all want to go skiing again!

Library Day

We had a library day at our house (OK, it's actually been a library week!)

The Library is open today!

Here is the "Librarian" getting the everything organized for the day.Everyone in the family has their own library card and complimentary book mark.
